Card: Six of Diamonds
Kieron Cropper is an English college artist and designer who mastered layering and incorporating scenes that might not work together in the real world together in a single frame. My approach was to follow the same layering style and mix earth, water, and space while also incorporating some surrealist aspects similar to Croppers. The baby in my playing card redesign is my baby cousin,fyi.
Nicely resolved.
Perhaps just a wee bit more contrast in the tigers and Spades and the purple mountain is a bit off key. Maybe try a few alternate edits, but overall it looks good.
Thanks for the feedback. Here is an alternative to the final project. I feel more drawn to this one.
Maybe just a little more comfortable crop on the lower left. The arm and feet are a bit tight to the edge. I can’t quite count how many diamonds – is it a six of diamonds?
Yes! I made the diamonds less crowded but there are 6 diamonds “coming out of his face.”
